Former President Elle Cochran will continue her involvement with the coalition.
Shawn Reid is continuing on as vice president and Tamara Paltin as secretary; Nikki Stange was elected treasurer.

During the break in public meetings, the board has been working with various community members and Hannah Bernard of the Hawaii Wildlife Fund on creating a management plan with the goal to restore a healthy Honolua ’ahupua’a through community-based management utilizing Hawaiian values and practices.
The management plan process the board has begun is being widely used by communities throughout the Pacific Rim to better manage marine resources.
It is an ongoing process that requires input from all stake holders.
The next Save Honolua Coalition public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11, with speaker Dr. Mark Vermeij, a marine biologist who will present his studies of the reef.
